The Goat Shed Kitchen

The Goat Shed Kitchen is open daily, serving all-day breakfasts, lunch, and grazing boards along with fresh homemade cakes & bakes. On Sunday’s we serve a delicious Sunday lunch, along with brunch dishes and our range of homemade cakes.

Head chef Dan Freear and his talented team serve up a menu inspired by the seasons, using high quality produce, sourced locally wherever possible.

We’re proud to feature the very best of Norfolk’s producers both on our menu and within our farm shop, including local butchery Swannington Farm to Fork, Krusty Loaf Bakers, and our very own award-winning Goat’s cheese that is made on-site just metres away from The Kitchen.

Friendship Table

At the Goat Shed, we believe strongly in our community and the friendships we can build together. If you’re looking to socialise and meet others from the local community, take a seat at the Friendship Table and create your own herd here at The Goat Shed. The Friendship Table is reserved in our kitchen on Wednesdays between 9:00am and 11:00am. Email sales@fieldingcottage.co.uk for more information, or ask a member of the team on your next visit.

Booking

Weekdays and Sunday Mornings

Monday to Saturday, and from 9:30am – 11:45am on Sundays, we only take bookings for tables of 8 or more. Feel free to call us on 01603 880 685 or email foh@fieldingcottage.co.uk to make your reservation. We encourage bookings to let our team know of any dietary requirements or special requests in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate.

For parties under 8, there is no need to book between Monday to Saturday, and from 9:30am – 11:45am on Sundays. Simply drop in whenever suits you and we will get you seated as soon as possible.

G.O.A.T Roasts

From 12:00pm on Sundays, we take roast bookings for any table size using our online booking form. Please use the comments section to let our team know of any dietary requirements or special requests in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate.

We highly recommend booking a table in advance as our Sunday roasts are very popular.

Kitchen Opening Hours

Monday – Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm. Hot food is served until 4:00pm, coffee & cakes served until 5:00pm.

Sunday: 9:30am – 4:00pm. Breakfasts are served in the morning with the last orders being taken at 11:30am. Roast dinners and a reduced Sunday brunch menu is served from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Desserts, coffees & cakes are served until 4:00pm.

The Goat Shed Kitchen has two seating areas, the main restaurant and our covered marquee area with picnic benches that overlook the Goat castle. We have a covered seating area at the front of the premises for anyone who wishes to bring along their four-legged friends. Only assistance dogs are allowed inside The Goat Shed, so please make use of the dog parking area, or leave your pooch with a member of your party if you would like to come inside and have a look.

Mother’s Day Sunday 10th March

Mother’s Day Sunday Lunch

Give the gift of good food this Mother’s Day and treat Mum to a delicious Sunday Roast at The Goat Shed. Gather the family and join us between 12:00pm and 3:00pm on Sunday the 10th of March. Why not add a glass (or bottle) of delicious Adnams bubbles to celebrate?

On Sunday the 10th of March, we will not be offering our brunch menu, instead will be serving our traditional Mother’s Day Sunday Roasts for both adults and kids from 12:00pm. We highly advise booking a table in advance using our online booking form.

Mother’s Day Breakfast

For anyone wanting to join us for breakfast on Sunday the 10th of March, between 9:30am and 11:30am we will only be taking walk ins – this includes parties of 8 or more, so feel free to pop in and we will get you seated as soon as possible.

G.O.A.T Roasts

Our delicious G.O.A.T Roast is available every Sunday, with two meat options changing weekly, a vegetarian dish and delicious sides and extras. Relax in our cosy kitchen with family and friends and enjoy great local food, we look forward to seeing you.
